Description

HRP, Associates, Inc.  Is seeking a Project Engineer with 0-2 years of experience to add to our growing team in Farmington, CT! The Project Engineer is responsible for completing assigned projects with senior level supervision, working with Senior Project Engineers on multi-faceted projects and working on core competencies for further development.
 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare technical reports or designs for review by Senior Project Engineers and Managers
  • Prepare contract plans and technical specifications under the direction of Senior Managers
  • Provide concise documentation of field notes and records with acceptable methodologies and procedures
  • Interact, schedule, and supervise subcontractors
  • Communicate professionally with client and State regulatory personnel when conducting field investigations/inspections and research
  • Some working knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations and guidelines governing assigned work responsibilities.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues and peers from other partners, vendors, subconsultants, or joint ventures in collaborative work environments
  • Assist PE in activities which include:

          - Proposal preparation
          - Regulatory review
          - Article preparation
          - Grant reviews
          - RFP preparation
          - Follow-up calls on proposals
          - Research/development

  • Continuously improve to maximize efficiently and expand HRP services

 

Requirements

  • Must have zero to two years’ experience in Engineering practice
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) desirable
  • Computer literacy in AutoCAD civil 3-d, StormCAD, Hydroflow, HEC-RAS is desirable.  Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Internet Explorer a must
  • Some knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations/programs relating to environmental, health, and safety within the U.S. and Canada
  • Demonstrated some expertise in understanding and interpreting federal, state, and local environmental regulations, occupational health and safety standards and applicable consensus standards
  • Demonstrated some capabilities in presenting ideas written and orally within a cross-functional environment
