Jake is a Senior Project Engineer with 13 years of experience in environmental health and safety (EH&S) consulting. Mr. Smith has a vast understanding EH&S regulations (i.e., OSHA, US EPA, State regulations) and a number of consensus references (NFPA, ANSI, ASTM) as well as health based exposure guidelines and assessment strategies provided through ACGIH and NIOSH.  Mr. Smith focuses on Environmental and OSHA general industry compliance auditing, development and implementation of EH&S programs and standard operating procedures, process safety management compliance, occupations exposure assessments and industrial hygiene studies, and health and safety training.  He also serves as HRP’s Corporate Safety Officer.

Jessica has 17 years of experience with project management, design, construction oversight, and operation of site investigation and remediation projects.  Jessica has served as the Project Manager and Engineer for remediation projects involving remediation of chlorinated solvents, gasoline-related compounds, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, metals and various explosive compounds using both traditional and innovative technologies.

Mike has over 30 years of experience in environmental site assessments, subsurface investigation process and site remediation at a wide variety of commercial and industrial properties. He has overseen complex site investigations and remediation at former industrial manufacturing sites, including vacant, underutilized brownfields sites slated for demolition or extensive renovation and redevelopment.

Rich has more than 15 years of experience in performing a myriad of environmental services ranging from Phase I/II/III site assessments to remediation and post-remediation groundwater monitoring. Rich is also well-versed in all phases of environmental field work. His notable professional experience includes management of environmental efforts at a site in Fairfield, CT where he managed the remediation of 37,000 tons of polluted soil, analysis of over 2,000 sediment samples within the Mill River, and implementation of Connecticut’s largest environmental dredging project in recent time. Rich has developed a solid rapport with a number of regulators, attorneys, contractors, businesses, and the public that have proven to be beneficial assets while managing complicated environmental projects.

Bob has over 25 years of experience in groundwater remediation and the investigation and remediation of contaminated properties. Mr. Simmons has specific expertise in design and testing of remedial systems, site remediation activities, groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, aquifer pumping tests, supervision of environmental site assessments for hazardous waste and petroleum contamination, groundwater monitoring, well construction, sampling, conductivity testing and surveying, and supervision of underground tank investigations.

Russell has more than 11 years experience in the creation, management, auditing and improvement of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.  His experience has been as the management representative for a multi-site corporation, as a consultant and as a Registrar Lead Auditor.  As a management representative and as a consultant, Russell has helped multiple organizations develop a custom strategy for their management systems to reduce risks and to be in symmetry with current operational processes.  He has been responsible for leading the implementation of management systems to meet the requirements of the organization and its customers and to ensure successful certification to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

Vipin K. Sumani, PE

Vipin has over 13 years of environmental engineering and remediation design. Mr. Sumani’s experience includes preparation of process design packages for wastewater treatment systems, wastewater and stormwater permitting, SPDES permit applications, and regulatory reviews for various industries in CT, the U.S., and overseas. Mr. Sumani has successfully designed and worked with CTDEEP on several industrial pretreatment/SPDES applications to obtain approval for new permit limits and flows. His experience includes design of physical and biological treatment systems, assessment of wastewater control technologies, and determination of the most economically feasible emission and discharge control technologies for numerous processes and industries.
