HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking a new leadership position in senior management as a Contract Director to join our team out of our Clifton Park, NY office.   The Contract Director will utilize demonstrated contract administration and management skills to spearhead and provide oversight to large client projects and government contracts.  A variety of challenging assignments will be offered to successful candidates.  Work performed by the Contract Director will include: prime leadership interface with large clients, conducting meetings, management/staff assignment, oversight of designated HRP Project Managers, technical document reviews, upper-level meetings, and project administration.

Responsibilities of the Contract Director will include:

  • Directing all Contract operations, ensuring sufficient resources to meet the client’s goals;
  • Prime leadership point of contact with the state and federal contracts;
  • Demonstrating contract and administration management skills;
  • Closely interfacing with Contract Managers to ensure that resources are properly allocated
  • Assigning Projects to Project Teams in coordination with the Assistant Contract Manager
  • Defining Scope of Services and establishing budgets
  • Overall responsibility for quality services and work products
  • Directing Project Managers and senior-level technical staff
  • Maintaining quality and ensuring health and safety issues are addressed
  • Cost and schedule control
  • Assuring overall client satisfaction
  • Assuring compliance with HRP policies and objectives

Requirements

We are looking for creative, results driven individuals with strong backgrounds in geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental science, or related fields.   

Work experience and knowledge to include:

  • Professional Geologist or Engineer (preferred, but not required)
  • 5 or more years of previous experience managing large client portfolios or government contracts
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts and scopes of work
  • Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints
  • Knowledge of regulatory framework in New York
  • Solid/demonstrated contract administration, management, and leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to direct project teams and manage large budgets and aggressive schedules
  • Demonstrated experience with site characterization and remediation
  • Experience at Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS), Chemical Bulk Storage (CBS), Solid Waste Management, RCRA Subtitle C, and Inactive Hazardous Waste program sites
