HRP’s Clifton Park New York office has an immediate full time opportunity for an individual with four or more years of experience in Environmental Compliance or Construction Management. Experience with the following is not required, but preferred, and includes:

  • Stormwater Compliance Inspections
  • Rain Event Inspections
  • Familiarity with the Stormwater Construction General Permit in NJ and PA
  • Field Experience
  • A general knowledge of the construction industry
  • Hazardous Waste Management
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan preparation
  • Emergency Action and Spill Control Plans
  • Development of Corrective Actions
  • Ability to read Erosion and Sediment Control and Site Grading plans
  • Problem solving for a wide variety of clients and situations
  • Ability to learn and apply new regulatory requirements

Candidates must demonstrate firsthand experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Proficient with Adobe PDF
  • Ability to write in English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents
  • Possess the ability to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material and variation in elevation (mud, gravel, rutted ground etc.)
  • Be able to wear standard PPE, i.e. hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles

Requirements

Individuals must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills and be proficient in MS Office products and appropriate professional level software. Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Life Sciences
  • 2 or more years plus of experience in Environmental Compliance, preferably in a consulting environment is a plus
  • Must reside in Eastern PA to Central NJ
