COVID-19: A Quick Response

May 4th, 2020 by Bryan Sherman

HRP completed their first COVID-19 disinfection cleaning job on April 1st (no fooling) for an Aerospace and Defense Company in New York State. As we all know, everything related to COVID-19 is unchartered territory and therefore brings its share of challenges.  HRP’s response from the clients call to having a cleaning crew on-site with HRP oversight was just 11 hours. The project resulted in several key takeaways.

HRP is more vital than ever in its role as facilitator. Our work has proven to be essential in ironing out the scope of work between client and cleaning crew. If you’re a business in need of COVID-19 decon services (that is to say, any business), you need HRP professionals communicating with the contractor, reviewing the scope and setting expectations early.  Key to our client’s success was HRP making sure the contractor understood anything “perceived as dirty” by the client means that it “wasn’t cleaned.” Client and contractor aren’t always speaking the same language. HRP is here to translate. Let’s take a closer look at what that means.

HRP has broken COVID-19 jobs into three tiers: Tier 1 is the Covid-19 Prevention and Response Plan, Tier 2 is the Covid-19 Professional Routine Deep Cleaning and Tier 3 is the Disinfection after a confirmed case. Tiers 1 and 2 provides the client with prevention strategies. This is where HRP is a benefit to our clients and ahead of our competitors. HRP has the knowledge and expertise to help them plan “prior” to a covid-19 exposure and thus greatly reduce operational downtime when an exposure does occur. Under our Tier 3 disinfection after a confirmed case, having a knowledgeable client representative can target the areas to be disinfected, thus reducing cost, downtime, and employee concerns.
