HRP assisted a confidential auto-parts supplier with the completion of Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan (PSM / RMP) Training in accordance with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.119 and EPA 40 CFR 112(r).   HRP performed general awareness training for over 3,000 employees at the plant in a total of ten (10) training sessions, and covering 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. General coverage of the written governing PSM/RMP site plan was the focus of the one-hour training, as well as emergency procedures.

As part of this project HRP also prepared site specific PowerPoint training presentations (6 modules in total) for what was identified as Detailed Specific training and covered 4-hours. This training was required by essential personnel located at the facility, including engineering, operations, and security and EHS staff. HRP also added Train-the trainer sessions for this Detailed Specific training program.  A total of over 100 employees received the Detailed Specific training.  Specific detailed training content is outlined below:

  • PSM Overview Module;
  • Process Safety Information Module;
  • Process Hazard Analysis Module;
  • Mechanical Integrity Module;
  • Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Review Module;
  • Compliance Audits Module; and
  • Level 3 job-specific breakout session

HRP provided associated handouts for the Detailed Training sessions.  Attendance rosters were maintained and documented and subsequently provided to the companies training group.  In addition, HRP required a quiz with passing score to ensure individuals understand the training content of the Detailed Specific sessions.
