Description

HRP completed a Notice of Intent (NOI) to comply with the EPA Region I NPDES Stormwater General Permit for Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems at a local College. The NOI established the Best Management Practices (BMPs) that the college plans to implement in the next five years.

Working closely with college administrators and facility personnel, HRP developed Best Management Practices (BMPs) to satisfy the requirements of the General Permit in addition to meeting the needs of the college.

Specifically, HRP identified that the college desired to get its students involved in the program.  In order to address this request, HRP suggested that the college’s graphic design students create a catch basin (CB) stencil design for use throughout the campus. This BMP was used to satisfy the requirements of Minimum Control Measure #2 – Public Participation.

HRP is currently working with the client to implement the BMPs set forth in the NOI.
