Rapid antibody and diagnostic antigen tests enable an organization to screen a large population quickly, routinely, and economically. Perhaps more importantly, results obtained from rapid tests may identify asymptomatic persons who are present among your workforce. Viral RT-PCR tests are considered the gold standard due to their accuracy; however, receipt of results can range from 24 hours to several days depending on the laboratory.

Deploying a workforce testing strategy that comprises 1) an economical option to screen large volumes of people quickly followed by 2) targeted confirmation RT-PCR tests for pertinent individuals yields a comprehensive testing program which will enable employers to operate safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
