Description
An HRP Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) prepared a site-specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) for an FAA Safety/Phasing Plan for the Relocation of the Airfield Lighting Vault (AFLV) at a Connecticut International Airport, on behalf of a general contractor.
HRP was retained to prepare the HASP in accordance with CT DOT specifications for Environmental Health and Safety (DOT specification item #0101000A) for the development and implementation of a written HASP. The HASP established health and safety protocols that addressed site-specific hazards and risks while performing work during the six phases of construction on a 29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1926.65 site, and at an operational airport.
The site-specific HASP also included the safety chain of command, emergency response procedures, procedures for handling controlled materials (per DOT specification item #0101117A), as well as complied with the FAA Advisory Circular for Operational Safety on Airports During Construction.
