Course Overview
The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) sets a framework for the proper management of hazardous waste. Within this regulatory program, hazardous waste is managed from "cradle to grave" meaning from the time it is created, while it is transported, treated, and stored, and until its ultimate disposal.
The generator of hazardous waste bears many responsibilities under RCRA including the requirement to make an accurate determination as to whether its solid waste is a hazardous waste in order to ensure wastes are properly managed under the cradle to grave system.
With this in mind, this course is intended to allow you a better understanding, through lectures and examples, of:
