HRP Associates Adds Staff in Farmington

December 4, 2023 (Farmington, CT) − HRP Associates Inc. (HRP), an environmental engineering and hydrogeology firm in Farmington, announces the addition of Steven as a Senior Consultant.

“HRP is pleased to welcome Steven as the newest member of our Northeast Compliance Engineering Practice serving clients in the Northeast and nationwide,” said Allison Tyropolis, Director of Compliance Engineering. “We are excited about the valuable experience and vast knowledge he brings to our team and look forward to continued success for our clients as he helps meet their needs on high-level and complex air compliance projects.” 

Steven’s responsibilities include the technical support of projects focusing on air compliance and permitting including NSR, Title V, PSD, synthetic minor, and true minor source permitting as well as air applicability assessments and providing assistance with sustained permit compliance.

“Almost 2 years ago I retired from Pratt & Whitney - East Hartford, Connecticut as the Site Air Program Manager.  Recently I decided to find a part-time position associated with air compliance, a field I have almost 35 years of experience in,” said Steven.  “Although consulting is the best option for interesting and challenging opportunities, I only wanted employment at a reputable firm known for quality deliverables and a positive work environment for their staff.  I was presented with an opportunity at HRP.  Throughout my career HRP has always had a reputation for quality work products.  More important to me, I know former and current employees who are people I respect.  Through the years they had provided unsolicited positive feedback regarding their employment at HRP.  It was an easy decision to accept the opportunity offered at HRP.”    

Steven holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management and Policy from the Hartford Graduate Center, and a Bachelors degree in Geography/Urban Planning from the University of Connecticut.
