A New Office in Buffalo. A Continued Commitment to New York.

October 19th, 2026

HRP’s Buffalo office transitions decades of remote service into immediate, face-to-face partnership, ensuring our Western New York clients get the fast response times and deeply personalized support they deserve.

For HRP Associates, opening a new office in the Buffalo region is an exciting milestone. But in many ways, it’s also a continuation of work that has been underway for more than 30 years.

In addition to serving business and industrial clients, HRP has long partnered with communities, businesses, and public agencies throughout New York State, helping to address environmental challenges and move important revitalization projects forward. The new office in Orchard Park brings us closer to our Western New York clients, creating more opportunities for collaboration and strengthening the local support behind our work.

“Bringing our proven success to Western New York allows us to fuel our own growth while providing top-tier support to clients facing pressing environmental challenges. We’re ready to help local communities unlock their full potential and business and industry navigate an ever changing state and federal regulatory climate”, stated Jesse Zahn, New York Regional Manager and Principal with HRP.

"HRP Associates has been a vital, trusted partner in our efforts to assess and remediate sites under our EPA Brownfield Grant. Having a dedicated office in Buffalo solidifies their footprint in Western New York and enhances the local technical expertise available to our region,” said Dr. Craig Clark, Executive Director of the Allegany County Industrial Development Agency. “Their team consistently delivers exceptional environmental engineering services, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration as we revitalize legacy properties across Allegany County."

Across New York, former industrial sites, vacant properties, and aging infrastructure present both challenges and opportunities. Brownfields, in particular, can stand in the way of community development when environmental concerns make a property difficult to reuse. HRP helps municipalities and other stakeholders turn these properties into opportunities for reinvestment through environmental assessments, remediation planning, civil engineering, and grant support.

That experience spans more than 100 completed brownfield projects and includes work supported by state, local, and EPA grants. In recent years, HRP has helped secure more than $10 million for New York communities developing and implementing brownfield programs. Projects throughout the state have included assessments and redevelopment planning in Gloversville, Herkimer County, and Fulton County, among others. Our presence in western New York also helps us serve NYS DEC with our recently awarded third standby engineering services contract valued at eighty million dollars.

For HRP, this work is about helping communities understand what’s possible for properties that have been sitting idle and providing the technical support needed to move those ideas toward reality. Our multidisciplinary services encompass environmental consulting, civil engineering, environmental compliance, health and safety, and hazardous materials consulting. That range allows HRP to help clients navigate projects from early investigation and permitting through remediation, design, and construction. With the Orchard Park office, HRP can bring local staff, laboratory and subcontractor support, and the resources of its wider organization closer to Western New York projects.

That combination matters. Environmental challenges are rarely one-size-fits-all, and successful projects often depend on understanding local priorities, coordinating with regulators and community stakeholders, and finding practical solutions that work within real-world budgets and schedules.

As HRP grows its presence in Western New York, it is also creating opportunities for remediation engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, safety, environmental compliance and other professionals interested in work that connects technical expertise with tangible community outcomes.

For those who have been part of New York’s redevelopment story—or want to be—HRP’s next chapter in Buffalo is just getting started.
