Description
In accordance with OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.146, HRP prepared a permit required and entry without permit/attendant confined space program. The written program was prepared following a complete survey of this chemical manufacturing facility for confined spaces. A total of thirty two (32) permit spaces and one non-permit spaces were identified on-site.
Included in the written program were pertinent definitions, regulatory background, the completed confined-space inventory, entry without permit/attendant procedures, permit-required confined-space procedures, confined-space entry by contractors, as well as the layout for an employee training program.
Included as appendices to the written program were a complete set of the 29 CFR 1910.146 regulations, pre-entry certification and confined-space entry forms, a list of site-specific hazardous atmosphere testing equipment, and a list of designated, trained on-site personnel. A color-coded site plan was prepared to identify all confined spaces located on-site. A detailed table was prepared to identify the potential atmospheric contaminants for all confined spaces.
