Our Story
HRP Associates, Inc., founded in 1982, was built on the personal and professional values of John J. Housman, Jr., Joseph M. Rinaldi, and Mark C. Possidento and their goal of assisting clients through the newly enacted RCRA rules and regulations. Their journey started above a law office in New Britain, Connecticut, where the stairs were so rickety that the Post Office wouldn’t even deliver the mail. After relocating to a nearby three-story Victorian home, their vision began to take shape as they secured their first project with a large electronic connector manufacturing company, developing a reputation for their attention to detail and their commitment to client-focused results.
Over the years, HRP continued to evolve to meet the demands of the ever-evolving regulatory landscape and the needs of their clients, and by the 1990’s the company expanded to open successful regional offices in New York and South Carolina.
By the 2000’s, moved their headquarters to Farmington, Connecticut, and continued to expand their portfolio of private and government sector clients and diversify their environmental and engineering services. The decade was characterized by regional office expansion and a geographical reach that allowed HRP to take on dozens of high-profile projects across the United States.
This four decade journey has seen HRP contribute significantly to the evolution of the environmental industry, expanding both regionally and globally with projects across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The firm credits its success to the dedication and character of its employees, who continue to uphold the founders' values of integrity and client commitment.
